This is an event for bikers on Remembrance Sunday
every year - this years ride will be on
Sun 12th November 2017
be at Birch Services for 12 noon
The aim is to form a circle of bikers dressed in red riding Anti-Clockwise around the M60 making the biggest Poppy in the World.
The ride is intended to present a physical show of support for our Armed Forces, both current and previous. Not every biker goes to a remembrance service on this day, but I do know that they Respect our armed service men and women. This is just another way of showing it.
The Ring of Red event was an idea by Julia Stevenson.
The organiser of the Ring of Red M60 Ride is Gavin Vitler.
Details of this year's ride will be posted as soon as known.
Thank you for your support and your patience.

WHO TO LOOK FOR AT
BIRCH SERVICES FOR
GUIDANCE AND HELP!
GREEN = MEETING POINT REP (Organiser of that meeting point and will be the main contact point)
PINK = Foot Marshals at the meeting point there to guide you to the right part of the services.
(Please bear in mind some services may have more than others due to lack of volunteers at some services - they will do the best they can with the amount of Marshals they have)
Blue = Lead Rider - the biker who will start the ride (this may also be the Meeting Point Rep) - DO NOT OVERTAKE THIS RIDER!!!!
Red = Tail End Charlie (DO NOT OVERTAKE THIS RIDER!)
FOR ANYONE TAKING PART IN THE RING OF RED M25 OR M60 WHO IS GOING TO FIX A FLAG TO THEIR BIKE - IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU MAKE SURE IT IS FIXED VERY FIRMLY WITH CABLE TIES, WIRE OR SOME SUCH METHOD - WE DO NOT WANT ANY FLAGS COMING OFF LANDING ON THE MOTORWAY FOR OBVIOUS REASONS!
MOST OF THE SERVICES WILL HAVE SOME FLAGS FOR SALE, BUT NOT ALL WILL HAVE POLES (ONLY THURROCK, SOUTH MIMMS, COBHAM, CLACKET & FLEET) ....SO IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO BUY A FLAG AT THE SERVICES, THEN YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT POLES AND FIXING. THE FLAGS ON SALE HAVE TWO EYELETS, ONE TOP AND ONE BOTTOM OF FLAG!
THANKS VERY MUCH
